Comp Ready?

So, I’ve had a busy few months, not only with getting Grapple Shack up and running along side my salaried job, but I’ve also been busy NOT preparing for the No GI English Open next weekend. I had a bit of a shock stepping onto the scales that I’m not at my optimum “fighting” weight.

 

P A N I C ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

 

Or maybe I’ll just eat an Ice Cream?!

 

Okay, I’m not where I want to be in an ideal world. Now, the way I see it, I’ve got two options, go on a strict air only diet and feel weak physically and mentally or go up a weight and finish off my son’s birthday cake! To be honest either way is not a great way to prep!

 

What do they say? “It’s not the winning, it’s the taking part that counts” Nah, I WANNA WIN.

 

So, whilst my not prepping is not ideal, I am focusing from now (Well, after I finish that ice cream and birthday cake) on diet, nutrition and water intake.

 

I’m quite liking not having to weigh in each day to check if I’m at or near target weight.
